Harvard Phone (VOIP) Maintenance

As part of our ongoing improvements to Harvard Phone services, HUIT will be upgrading the Harvard Phone service for the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Harvard University Press, and Arnold Arboretum on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM EDT. All other areas of the University will not be impacted by this upgrade work.

During this time, impacted users may experience brief interruptions in service to their desk phones or irregular calling behavior. Physical phone devices will re-register several times during the upgrade. Once this upgrade is completed, normal service will resume.
